Booking and Payment
A deposit of $1,000 is required at the time of booking. The balance of your accommodation payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival date.
Once full payment has been made, no refunds will be given.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to your arrival date.
More than 30 days' notice:The deposit will be refunded, minus any applicable airline cancellation fees, which will be deducted from the refund.
Less than 30 days' notice: A 100% penalty applies, and the deposit will be forfeited.
After full payment has been made (30 days prior to arrival): No refunds will be given.
No refunds will be given for: Non-arrival or unused nights due to flight/weather disruptions.
Date changes: Dates can be changed within the validity period, subject to availability and airline policies. Any fees related to rebooking flights will be the responsibility of the guest.
Note: Credit card transaction fees are non-refundable.
Flight Booking & Changes Policy
All flights included in the April Escape package—Perth to Broome, Broome to Kununurra, Kununurra to Berkeley River Lodge, and return—will be booked with reputable airlines that best align with the itinerary and connecting travel times. Flights are carefully selected to ensure a seamless travel experience and are incorporated into the confirmed itinerary.
Flight Credit Policy If you choose not to use a flight included in your itinerary, we can arrange a credit. The credit amount will be determined based on our contracted rates. Please contact us to discuss your available options.
Flight Changes & Additional Costs The flights allocated in your itinerary are part of our contracted rates and are confirmed as per the details provided. If you wish to fly with a different airline or at an alternative time, please reach out to us, and we will explore available options. Any changes may incur additional costs due to fare differences, airline fees, or rebooking charges. A quote for any adjustments will be provided upon request.
Guest-Initiated Changes Once the itinerary has been approved and flights are booked, any changes requested by the guest will be subject to airline policies and availability. Any fees incurred as a result of changes, including but not limited to fare differences, cancellation fees, or rebooking charges, will be the responsibility of the guest.
Airline-Imposed Changes In the event of airline schedule changes or cancellations outside of our control, we will work to adjust the itinerary accordingly. However, we cannot be held liable for any additional costs that may arise due to airline-imposed changes.
Itinerary Approval Guests are encouraged to review their confirmed itinerary carefully before approval to avoid additional charges or disruptions to their travel plans.
Baggage
Due to aircraft restrictions, baggage is limited to 23kg per person on Perth to Broome flights and 10kg per person (soft bag only) on Kununurra to Berkeley River Lodge flights. Excess baggage can be stored in Kununurra, with arrangements to be made prior to departure for Berkeley River Lodge.
Travel Insurance
Participation in tours, activities, and experiences is at your own risk.
Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel, medical, and cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
Due to the lodge's remote location, medical evacuation may be necessary in emergencies. It is the responsibility of guests to have insurance covering such events.
Activities
Guests are required to indicate their fitness level (low to high) to participate in activities.
All activities are subject to availability and weather conditions.
Transfers
Berkeley River Lodge and third-party air transfer providers reserve the right to change or amend flight departure and arrival times within 24 hours of your reservation due to unforeseen circumstances or environmental factors.
Transfers are provided by third-party suppliers and may be subject to their terms and conditions.
